Hned pět závodů klasické ploché dráhy a jeden ledový by jsme chtěli v nové sezóně 2021 uspořádat. Jejich výčet najdete v článku. Snad bude ten rok 2021 lepší než ten končící a vše se povede.

Mezinárodní MČR na ledové ploché dráze
Jako již tradičně se každý rok pokoušíme o uspořádání mezinárodního Mistrovství ČR na ledové ploché dráze. Velmi divácky atraktivní odvětví ploché dráhy však nese hned několik úskalí, z nichž jedno je to nejdůležitější a to počasí. Letos, respektive vloni k němu přibylo ještě úskalí jedno, momentálně neméně těžké. Termín 15.01.2021 však pochopitelně není vůbec jistý a spíše to vypadá, že nedopadne. Prvním problémem je prozatím nedostatek ledu a tím druhým jsou vládní opatření. I kdyby se na krásně podařilo a Větřkovická přehrada by zamrzla na potřebnou tloušťku ledu, závod odjet kvůli omezením nemůžeme. Nicméně jsme připravení jednat a pokud by to v letošním roce bylo jen trošku možné, ledovou pojedeme, ale pocopte, jsme realisti.

Mistrovství ČR juniorů do 19 a 21 let
Jediným juniorem hájící kopřivnické barvy v loňské sezóně byl Jan Macek. Ten se zařadil mezi českou juniorskou špičku. Náš klub však neváhá a vychovává dále i jeho nástupce. Mezi další adepty, kteří by v letošním roce měli zasáhnout do juniorských závodů jsou Radek Bambuch a Jakub Sazovský. Proto bude prvním závodem úvodní závod Mistrovství České republiky juniorů, kde si všichni tři naší jezdci Jan Macek, Radek Bambuch a Jakub Sazovský poměří své síly a zkušenosti s ostatními juniory v České republice na své domácí dráze a před vašimi zraky a povzbuzováním.

Liga družstev
Tento termín je zatím hodně volný a stále otevřený. V současné době nevíme jakým způsobem se nám podaří odjezdit ligu. Vše by mělo býti jasné už v průběhu měsíce ledna. Každopádně pokud ligovou soutěž pojedeme, jakože by jsme pochopitelně chtěli, může se tento datum ještě změnit.

Přebor jednotlivců a Mezinárodní MČR Flattrack
Nabitý závodní den nás čeká druhou prázdninovou sobotu. Už od 10:00 vystartují boje o Flattracku, které se dělí do tří kategorií, kde každá z nich odjede své tréninkové a kvalifikační jízdy. Poté se jezdci kategorií FT Veteran, FT Classic a FT 1 postaví na start finálových rozjížděk. I v tomto odvětví ploché dráhy máme své klubové zastoupení. Ve všech kategoriích Flatracku máme své zástupce a celkově to čítá sedm závodníků, čímž se náš klub řadí mezi největší líhně tohoto odvětví ploché dráhy.
Odpoledne už přijde řada na klasickou plochou dráhu. Přebor České republiky jednotlivců je velmi kvalitní měření sil závodníků všech možných úrovní a je zároveň kvalifikačním bojem do závodů MČR jednotlivců. V loňském roce 2020 byl tento seriál závodu velmi kvalitní, jelikož se jej až na některé výjimky účastnila kompletní česká špička a celkovým vítězem byl Eduard Krčmář, který se později stal v Plzni i Mistrem České republiky. I tady by jsme chtěli, aby se na start postavili všichni kopřivničtí jezdci, takže opět bude komu fandit.

Mistrovství České republiky juniorských družstev
Tento „MISTRÁK“ jsme v Kopřivnici ještě neviděli a jedná se o velmi kvalitní závod a navíc náš tým WALBO Railway Kopřivnice bude obhajovat celkovou třetí pozici z roku 2020. Většina týmů i vzhledem k juniorské nedostatkovosti v České republice staví na jednom svém domácím jezdci a kvalitní zahraniční posile. Stejně tak jsme to vloni udělali i my a dvojice Jan Macek a Polák Bartek Kowalski vezla z Pardubic třetí místo. Nebýt však několika technických poruch na motocyklech obou našich závodníků, mohli stá na stupních vítězů ještě výše. To nás hodně nabudilo k tomu, aby jsme o tento závod žádali na domácí dráhu, našim jezdcům i díky Vám udělali skvělou atmosféru a zabojovali o příčky nejvyšší.

6. Memoriál Michala Matuly či Memoriály 2021
Ani v loňském roce jsme nepřerušili tradici pocty tragicky zesnulého Michala Matuly, byť byl jeho pátý ročník jen vloženým závodem při Flatracku. V roce letošním by jsme chtěli udělat závod, kde bychom chtěli poctít nejen Michala, ale i další bývalé závodníky či činovníky našeho klubu. Patří mezi ně třeba zakladatel ploché dráhy v Kopřivnici a letitý předseda klubu pan Rudolf Duda, či Čestmír Váňa, který zemřel zkraje loňského roku, nebo třeba obnovit tradici memoriálu dalšího kopřivnického jezdce let minulých Bedřicha Slaného. Jaký formát bude závod mít je zatím ve hvězdách, ale už teď je jisté, že se bude jednat o závod s mezinárodní účastí a s kopřivnickými jezdci na startu.
„My v prvé řadě věříme tomu, že se všechny závody podaří odjet a nic nás neomezí v plné činnosti jak na domácí kopřivnické dráze, tak na jiných oválech v České republice. Předchozí dva roky pro nás byly velmi složité a náročné. Ať už nás zastavila rekonstrukce Letního stadiónu, nebo rok poté Covid-19, doufáme, že bude vlajka kopřivnického klubu viset v roce 2021 hodně vysoko.“
